Chouchou Namegabe takes part to Women in the World 2011
From 10 to 12 March 2011 in New York City, AFEM's coordinator Chouchou Namegabe took part in the second
"Women in the World" Summit. This event has been organized by
US news site The Daily Beast and famous magazine
Newsweek and brought together
many celebrities, politicians, social activists, movie stars or media professionals from around the world, with a simple objective: listen to stories and find solutions to improve women's life. Chouchou intervened in a segment called "Women Journalists on the Frontlines".

Chouchou took this opportunity to advocate for peace and the situation of women in the Democratic Republic of Congo by meeting high-level decision-makers. For instance:
