"From amateur to professional"

Soon seven other rural radio stations in four areas of South Kivu province will have well-trained female journalists on the concepts of professional journalism.
After three others who have received professional training course in Isanganiro radio in Burundi's capital Bujumbura, 7 others are in the dance.
In any case, nothing can stop AFEM promotion of women journalists, said the cordinator Chouchou NAMEGABE.
The seven rural women journalists were selected from 30 women participating journalists. currently 5 among them have a professional intership in five radios in the city of Bukavu, two of them are still unreachable.
For now, radios that form are, Maendeleo Radio, Congolese National Radio and Television RTNC and Neno la uzima Radio.
The rural stations are: Bubandana radio of Minova in Kalehe territory, Radio Communautaire Of Nyangezi in Walungu territory, le Messager radio and liberté radio both of Uvira and Ijulino radio of Ijwi territory.
This activity is within the scope of the second phase of trining and professionalism of women journalists from the association of Media Women in South Kivu "AFEM". It is supported by the non-governmental organisation National Endowment for Democracy, "NED".
