To strengthen the capacities of its partner radio, SFCG uses the expertise of the AFEM for conducting training "in situ" for two weeks each in 4 rural community radio stations. In South Kivu radios Lemera in Uvira, APIDE in Mwenga, and Katanga radios are, Kongolo’s radio in Kongolo territory and Kasenga’radio in Kasenga territory.
At the end of each of these courses:
- The journalists / producers and reinforce a common understanding of the basics of journalism and radio formats
- The journalists / producers will practice the concepts learned in their daily production
- Journalists producers increase their interest in the subjects and themes used prompting debate on good governance principles and their implementation by the local community
At the end of each of these courses:

- Journalists producers increase their interest in the subjects and themes used prompting debate on good governance principles and their implementation by the local community
- Journalist producer is identified in the radio and charged for producing the specific issue of good governance.
Search For Common Ground supports the communication component of a comprehensive program called IRC TUUNGANE. A project to community awareness and dissemination of good governance principles.
Journalists - producing AFEM has affected the implementation of training "in situ" are Pascaline ZAMUDA and Douce Namwezi N’Ibamba.
